Residential assisted living is primarily located within an existing residential neighborhood within the city as well as it being a ‘home’ just like those within the neighborhood. The number of residents are much less, typically 6 up to 16. Assisted Living facilities are much larger starting at 35 residents up to hundreds and are often included in a campus setting alongside independent dwellings and memory care units.

There are many different signs that may indicate that it’s time for more help for your loved one, beyond what can be given at home. There is often an ‘event’ that occurs, such as a fall that results in a hospital stay or your loved one has been found wandering or lost outside the home in unsafe circumstances. Additional signs could be worsening medical conditions, increased frailty, inability to keep track of medication intake and like issues.

Resident to caregiver ratio; approximately 5 to 1 during the day and 8 to 1 at night. This means that 1 caregiver focuses on 5 residents during the day and 8 residents at night when most residents are sleeping. The staff at our residential assisted living in Moscow have the time and energy to give excellent care to each resident. They get to know your loved one on a first name basis and can build a relationship with them.

The caregivers at our residential assisted living home in Moscow are trained specifically for all kinds of dementia care, including Alzheimer’s, to ensure top quality care. Additionally, we at Hill House require each caregiver be trained and certified in BLS ‘basic life saving’ which also includes CPR ensuring that at all times, we have team members that can respond to emergencies. Our team also consists of some CNA’s, Med Techs as well as RN’s.

We accept private pay only, such as long term care insurance, proceeds from pension plans, veteran benefit plans, etc. Regrettably, we don’t accept Medicaid at this time. Feel free to contact us for any additional questions regarding payment options.

Yes, you can bring your own furnishings, as long as they fall within the Idaho state guidelines.

Hill House is the ideal blend of big-brand conveniences and small-town feel. While we’ve spent a lot of money updating our home, modern technology has been used sparingly to keep the farmhouse vibe. Our home retains and cares for our team members like family, with the highest caregiver to resident ratios in the area. We have a personal chef who will create delicious meals each day. We also have an on-site hairdresser and nail salon, climate control for every suite, air filters, radiant in-floor heat, outdoor gardening beds, and many other amenities. The residents at our residential assisted living home in Moscow receive an iPad personalized for them to use as a means of communication. Wi-Fi is available in our entire home.

Hill House residential assisted living in Moscow is not a medical facility or skilled nursing home, but we will responsibly care for all conditions we are licensed for.
